My friend Noella started life in the Congo but when her father sadly died her mum could not afford to raise her and she was sent to live with relatives in Switzerland. Noella thrived there and went on to become a top model. When she had enough money to go and visit her mother back in Africa she vowed to do something to help, and she was true to her word. Noella founded Malaika and has set up a school for vulnerable girls in the Congo and ensure fresh water and supplies.
Noella lives in Cheltenham and is married to local businessman James Masters. They have a son James Junior and daughter Cara. You can connect with Malaika on Facebook and Twitter.
