DDV
is an independent bodyshop and a one-stop repair shop for vehicles with minor damage. We specialise in bodywork repairs both large and minor.

How We Started: Dan started the business in 2016 as a mobile repair technician within a larger network. While he enjoyed the variety and flexibility of mobile repairs, he decided to seize an opportunity to develop from a man in a van operation into a workshop capable of handling larger and more technical repairs.
Taking on the workshop gave us a chance to develop our skills and build on the successful reputation that Dan had cultivated while operating as a mobile repairer. With the workshop came the formation of DDV and the addition of Dan’s wife Debs to help with the day to day running of a the workshop. Debs background is in admin and accounts and she handles customer contacts, our front office and the paperwork side of things.
It soon became apparent that we needed more staff to handle the workload and so Marc joined the team. An experienced spray painter and panel beater (he started out with an apprenticeship in a body shop) and although he left the industry for while for a managers position in retail he was keen to return. He completed a few vehicle rebuilds (mostly mini’s) to maintain his body work skills. Now our resident mini fanatic/workshop manager - he puts his experience to good use and enjoys using his artistic skills test on classic and custom jobs.
Our final addition to the team was Johnny who hadn’t worked in the industry before but completed his training and is now an experienced technician.
After the installation of DDV’s new spray booth came an ability to take on larger repairs and with the help of Lechler Coatings we have a great high quality paint system to use on those repairs. A relationship soon grew between Lechler and DDV and by the end of the first year Marc and Dan visited Lechler HQ for additional training as colourists bringing even more skills back to the workshop.
Since then we have built a great reputation amongst classic car owners, bikers, and cruisers for the ability to carry out complex repairs effectively, some stunning unique designs and repairing large bodywork damage. Day to day we pride ourselves on a quick, friendly and high quality service repairing bumper scuffs, scratches and dents.
